Job description

Rhode Island FC, a professional soccer club competing in the USL Championship, is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented college interns for the Summer 2026 season. This comprehensive internship program provides invaluable hands-on experience in the Partnership Marketing department. Interns will gain direct exposure to the diverse functions that drive a professional sports organization, contributing to both day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
This position is for a seasonal internship, with a projected start date that can be flexible to align with academic calendars.
Educational Experience

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program and eligible to receive college credit.
  • This internship is for college credit only and is limited to no more than 28 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace is required.
  • A passion for sports, marketing, fan engagement, community involvement, and the business of live entertainment is preferred.
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, event management, media relations, journalism, or public relations is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Familiarity with digital media management tools, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, LinkedIn, SponsorUnited, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, game days, and events as needed is required.
Note: This position is an on-site internship requiring candidates to commute to the Rhode Island FC Office and Centreville Bank Stadium as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Marketing:
  • Capturing proof of performance photos for partner activations.
  • Assisting with various partner activations and Fan Fest activities.
  • Conducting research for new partnership opportunities and supporting current partner management.
  • Assisting in the creation of marketing materials for partner recaps, renewals, and proposals.
  • Tracking ROI for partnerships and assisting with planning and execution of partner events.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stretch for extended periods (up to 6-8 hours on event days).
  • Comfortable working in moderate to loud environments.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment (up to 25 lbs.)
