Job description

Primary Responsibilities

  • The purpose of the Internship Program is to introduce students to Arconic through a challenging and rewarding experience in the corporate Environmental, Health and Safety department by assisting with environmental data collection, integration and analysis by Plants and/or business units, assess/evaluate opportunities to improve environmental data collection such as metering, updating solid waste profiles and waste vendors/suppliers.

  • The candidate will have the opportunity to assist with updating and improving compliance training templates.  


Basic Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Natural Resources Engineering, Environmental Sustainability Management or any related EHS or applicable discipline. 

  • Must have an expected graduation date in late Fall 2027, Spring/Summer of 2028

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required, along with an overall level of expertise in MS Office environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess strong leadership competencies, and strong team and analytical skills; strategic thinking skills; dedication and enthusiasm for work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, especially as part of a team.
  • Involvement with one or more extracurricular activities, work-study or off-campus jobs, and/or volunteer positions.
  • Familiarity with laboratory analysis data.
  • Familiarity with waste categorization.
  • Familiarity with CAA, CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA regulations.
