Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our clinical faculty Hematology Oncologist, you will play in intregal part in the expanion of our clinical, research, and educational activities within our Department of Medicine in partnership with The Henry Lynch Cancer Center at Creighton University Medical Center.

Every day, you will provide compassionate and expert care in a high volume system with broad referral networks in partnership with Radiation Oncology, Pulmonary Medicine, our Breast Center of Excellence, Surgical Oncology and Orthopaedic Sarcoma programs. This unique opportunity is positioned participate in clinical research trials within the school of medicine, and to assist in cancer center leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will be board certified in Hematology/Oncology, provide compassionate and expert care in collboration with our integrated, multispecialty system, working with every member in subspecialty surgery, committed to the highest outcome of every procedure we perform. In addition, our program is further augmented by our many other resources associated with our academic institution, including our institute of population health, biomedical and cancer research.

  • Working in an academic and teaching environment educating Creighton University's residents and medical students and conducting research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine.
  • The position will be resourced for scholarly endeavors including clinical trials & opportunities for collaboration with basic and translational scientists at the Creighton Henry Lynch Cancer Center
  • Reporting to the Chair of Medicine at Creighton University and CHI Health

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution

  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine & Hematology Oncology

  • Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska

  • Strong clinical skills with experience in programatice development

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
