Job description

Employment  Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment plant retrofit, design build, progressive design built, etc. 
  • Work on engineering planning, design, and manage projects of medium to large size for Municipal and Water Districts clients in the region
  • Manage a variety of pipeline materials including: ductile iron, steel, PVC, HTPE, etc. for yard-piping projects
  • Design Management of Water / Wastewater Treatment systems (I.e. Digesters, Tertiary Treatment systems, Clarifiers, Storage Tanks, etc.)
  • Assist in client relations and business development pursuits across the south Florida region
  • Prepare reports, develop plans, and specifications
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
  • Conduct hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
  • Permitting and preparation of technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables
  • Data entry and analysis
  • Provide engineering services during construction
  • Participate in field activities, when needed (limited amount of travel required)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental Engineering
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 4-10 years of experience in water / wastewater treatment plant design and project management engineering
  • 3+ years in Project Management for municipalities / water districts in south Florida (i.e. South Florida Water Management District, Broward County, Palm Beach County)
  • Strong design of Water/Wastewater treatment systems for municipal clients 
  • Extensive experience with large diameter pipe and directional drilling
  • Experience with designing, planning, and commissioning of Ultra-Violet (UV) treatment systems for municipal Wastewater 
  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (+)
