Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage complex projects for public sector and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, managing project risks, and maintaining clear and consistent communication with stakeholders. Knowledge of Salesforce technology is preferred.
We are looking for an experienced project manager to join us in delivering innovative technology solutions for a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. In this role, we're looking for solutions-focused candidates who thrive on providing excellence to clients and have experience managing teams of technical personnel to build solutions and systems. The ideal candidate is a creative and hands-on leader with experience managing teams in digital transformation and implementation efforts. You will be a client-facing advisor, coach, mentor, and accountable manager with a proven track record of leading solutions deployments in a client environment. Key contributions of this role include:
  • Serving as a delivery leader, accountable for the completion of team delivery efforts, including quality oversight, visibility into delivery targets, and client acceptance
  • I am supporting delivery operations, building and maintaining client relationships, and fostering and promoting innovative thinking across the client environment.
  • Developing and leading teams through solution prototyping, development, and deployment - from hands-on proposal technical support to prototyping client implementations and complete production deployment.
  • Manage a larger delivery team of approximately 20-25 people.
  • Manage budget, time, and resources for delivery team.
  • Handling challenging client situations and offering guidance & direction to client executives

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Service: Advise client on leading practices and technology/industry trends, application/integration architecture, solution design, and implementation leading practices. Build lasting relationships through day-to-day interactions with key client managers and staff.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage daily interactions and communications with MSRB stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment of project objectives.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders, keeping them informed of project status, risks, and changes.
    • Prepare and deliver project progress reports, presentations, and documentation.
    • Facilitate meetings and workshops to align stakeholders on project goals and outcomes.
  • Delivery: Bring functional/technical experience and knowledge to deliver solutions that allow clients to achieve their business strategy. Present technical alternatives and supporting recommendations aligned with the client's business and technology requirements. Contribute to project estimating, planning, contracting, and staffing activities. Manage technical and/or functional teams to design, build, test and implement enterprise applications. Anticipate, raise, and resolve issues that pose risks to the project. Monitor progress and quality. Track and report status.
  • Project Planning & Execution:
    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules for project execution.
    • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination:
    • Lead and manage project teams, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Assign and manage resources efficiently to meet project objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
    • Track project issues and ensure timely resolution to keep the project on track.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and adjust project plans as needed.
  • Budget & Resource Management:
    • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses to ensure costs remain within approved limits.
    • Forecast resource needs and allocate them effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Provide regular updates on project financials to stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance & Monitoring:
    • Ensure all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
    • Implement project monitoring systems to track progress and performance.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in project management, ideally managing both public sector and commercial client projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects with a focus on scope, budget, timelines, and stakeholder communications.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce technology and its applications in client engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • PMP certification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, Monday.com, Jira).
