Patriot Engineering and Environmental is growing and is looking for an Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist to join our talented and impactful team in our Dayton, OH office. Headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, Patriot Engineering and Environmental is an Employee Owned, diverse engineering firm with a multi-state locations and presence providing geotechnical, environmental, and construction materials testing services and consultation to commercial, industrial and governmental clients. Patriot has an opening for an experienced Environmental Project Manager Engineer/Geologist.  This position will be part of a very skilled team that works closely with Regional Environmental Group Manager and other technical leads managing and performing environmental assessment and remedial services.  We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a growing and high performing team. The successful candidate has extensive experience as follows:

  • Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
  • BUSTR closures, Tier I/II.
  • Assist with Phase II investigations, remedial action plans, and demolition oversight.
  • Assist with review, evaluation, and interpretation of environmental data and prepare technical reports.
  • Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels in a professional manner.
  • Assist with preparation of cost proposals.
  • Adhere to and promote Patriot's health and safety and loss prevention procedures and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 5 – 7 years of experience
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Federal, Ohio State and Local environmental regulations
  • Work directly with clients professionally and display service-oriented attitude to address their operational, remediation, and development challenges and goals.
  • Travel when needed for fieldwork, with working hours more than 40 per week and weekends, as needed.
  • Professional license a plus or the ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Able to successfully pass both a background check and drug screen
