Interns may also participate in site assessments, research new technologies, and support compliance with environmental regulations. This role provides hands-on experience and exposure to real-world environmental challenges, making it a valuable stepping stone for a career in environmental engineering.

What types of projects and tasks can an environmental engineer intern expect to work on during their internship?

As an Environmental Engineer Intern, you can expect to work on a variety of projects such as assisting with environmental site assessments, collecting and analyzing samples (soil, air, or water), supporting environmental compliance efforts, and preparing technical reports or documentation. Interns often collaborate with experienced engineers, scientists, and field technicians, gaining exposure to both office-based and on-site tasks. This hands-on experience is valuable for developing practical skills and understanding the processes involved in environmental protection and sustainability projects.
