Job description

Position: Annuity Marketing Data Intern
Department: Annuity Marketing
Reporting to: Distribution Data Analyst
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where your work will make an impact by producing data-driven results for a company, this may be the job for you! The annuity marketing data intern will work with members of our strategy team on new initiatives to increase sales and profitability and optimize efficiency for Advisors Excel. This role will assist with a multitude of projects but primarily focuses on reporting and analysis efforts for the Annuity Marketing division.
This internship is ongoing, not a seasonal or summer internship. It is on-site in our Topeka, KS office and not open to remote work. Additionally, please note that the company does not extend sponsorship opportunities at this time.
What youโ€™ll do:
  • Updating data models that assist our sales and marketing teams
  • Data compilation and consolidation of large sets of structured and unstructured data
  • Create reports and deliverables based off analytics to track success metrics
  • Take complex data sets and transform them into summarized, actionable information
  • Data management and delivery in forms of dashboards and visualizations
  • Provide support in the research and execution of other strategic projects
  • Optimize existing processes and reports to create greater value for our team and partners
  • Other assigned responsibilities and duties
Experience youโ€™ll bring:
  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel
  • Data base structures and systems understanding
  • Creative problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong knowledge of other MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to interact with all personality types and with all levels of staff
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to look at a large problem or project, and break it down into small achievable steps

  • College credits in data, finance, economics, or accounting
  • Previous experience in an office environment specifically insurance or financial services related
  • Experience in Power BI or other data visualization tools
