Internship Summary
Environmental Sustainability intern
This unique position will assess and improve the company's corporate environmental and sustainability reporting efforts through capturing current practices, as well as improving the methods of data collection and streamlining the reporting process to improve responsiveness to customers regarding environmental product declaration requests.
The Division Environmental Sustainability intern will:
  • Become familiar with issues and trends in CSR and ESG (environment, social and governance) reporting.
  • Become familiar with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Scopes 1, 2, and 3 Emissions, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
  • Create or work with existing internal framework to capture company data
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business area representatives to obtain needed information.
  • Ensure the receipt, accuracy and timeliness of requested data and documents.
  • Research LCA and EPD-related webpages for comparable companies.
  • Effectively use company data within the existing carbon tool to generate Environmental Product Declarations and determine carbon footprints based on life-cycle assessments
  • Help design and facilitate updates to internal and external websites.
  • Assist in drafting Environmental and Sustainability-related policies and solicit and respond to feedback.
  • Present synopsis of internship responsibilities and achievements to Bonnell Aluminum leadership at the conclusion of internship.

Internship Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled university student in a relevant major
  • Ability to communicate and present to senior leadership
  • Excellent research, oral and written communication, and analytic skills
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Highly self-motivated, strong leadership skills and the ability to think creatively
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) skills
  • Knowledge of sustainability and environmental topics including life cycle assessment and carbon footprint
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Available to work in Newnan, GA
