Job description

LHH is partnering with a growing organization in the Columbus, OH area to identify a Senior Data Analyst for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who enjoys reviewing large data sets, building meaningful reporting tools, and providing actionable recommendations to support business and operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on data analysis experience, strong Power BI and SQL skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with leadership and internal teams. This position will sit onsite in Columbus, OH, so candidates must be local or within a reasonable commuting distance.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze large data sets to identify trends, process gaps, operational efficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, KPIs, and visual analytics using Power BI, Excel, SQL, and related tools.
  • Partner with leadership and internal departments to understand reporting needs and recommend the best approach for reviewing data to achieve business goals.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making, process improvement, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Review existing reports and dashboards for accuracy, effectiveness, and opportunities to improve performance or usability.
  • Support special projects, data-driven initiatives, and ongoing improvements to reporting processes, systems, and internal workflows.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL is required.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience reviewing large volumes of data and making business recommendations based on findings.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain data trends and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Local to the Columbus, OH area and able to work fully onsite.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting operational, financial, logistics, transportation, or customer-focused reporting is a plus.
  • Ability to build scalable reporting tools and dashboards that align with leadership objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
