Description
Summary:
Create a strong, visible safety resource presence on the shop floor for employees and supervisors. Facilitate the execution of Revere's Safety Excellence and Leadership System (SEAL). Develop and implement annual plans to reduce risk and improve safety in the workplace. Implement safety corrective actions pertaining to audits, incidents or risk assessments. Oversee Revere's annual environmental processes and reporting requirements. Conduct annual safety and environmental training. Provide safety and environmental compliance knowledge and expertise to the organization.
Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create annual safety action plan to improve safety at Revere
  • Assign EHS resources toward the most important safety and environmental needs
  • Direct and execute Revere's safety management system, including ergonomics, industrial hygiene and risk management.
  • Support operations leadership in their execution of the SEAL system and to continuously improve these safety processes
  • Work effectively with operations team to ensure risks are identified and managed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on safety corrective actions pertaining to all injury investigations.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure risks are designed out of new processes and equipment.
  • Facilitate Safety Action Plan and monthly deviation analysis using a behavioral science approach (BMT).
  • Maintain injury data and provide regular analysis of trends and issues.
  • Maintain a floor presence and create a safety resource for supervisors and employees.
  • Maintain and provide training on Revere's Safety Policies.
  • Maintain regulatory and internal reporting.
  • Reinforce safe work practices throughout the facility.
  • Provide leadership and direction in all aspects of risk reduction associated with safety performance.
  • Report on safety issues and data.
  • Implement emergency planning processes and drills. Respond effectively to emergencies in the plant.
  • Stay current on safety best practices.
  • Ensure safety compliance training is conducted annually.
  • Coach and develop EHS staff.

Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years' experience in a similar role or high-level consulting within the
  • manufacturing sector.
  • Expert level knowledge of safety compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of behavior-based safety concepts and practices.
  • Prior managerial experience in a team based, highly collaborative role.

Special Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near
  • moving mechanical parts.
  • May be exposed to wet or humid conditions.
  • May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • May be regularly exposed to high noise environments.
  • May be exposed to extremely dusty environments.

Education / Training: Preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Foundation in Behavior Science and Behavioral Safety.
