Job description

Compliance Assistant

Academy Bus is looking for a candidate with a sense of urgency and eye for detail to fill our Compliance Assistant position. We are seeking an organized individual who can multi-task in a fast paced environment. Our Compliance Assistant will aid in the accuracy of our medical and drug files. Responsibilities include word processing, data entry, and communications.

Compliance Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls and emails, resolving clinic issues and concerns by providing appropriate solutions
  • Assist with medical invoices
  • Maintain correspondence with medical facilities regarding DOT drug testing results
  • Follow up to receive missing documents from medical facilities
  • Input incoming medical information into Academy's internal program
  • Assist in Federal Department of Transportation audits

Compliance Assistant Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least 2 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency working in a PC-based work environment to include intermediate to advanced Excel experience, basic to intermediate understanding of MS Word
  • Experience using a business e-mail system on a daily basis, preferably MS Outlook
  • Strong clerical and administrative skills in a corporate environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • A go getter, takes initiative, is a quick learner and team player who takes responsibility and ownership of their work
  • Experience with drug and alcohol in the transportation field is preferred

  • Displays a professional, detailed-oriented and pro-active approach when interacting with applicants, employees, clients, potential clients, and visitors
  • Demonstrates strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Comfort in handling a fast paced, high volume, work environment required.
