Job Description
Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to support an upcoming ERP-focused initiative. This six-month, hybrid role (Houston-based) will serve as a key functional lead for PeopleSoft FSCM, with a strong emphasis on General Ledger (GL), Commitment Control (KK), and Accounts Payable (AP). The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert and strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This individual will gather and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, support system configuration, and guide structured project execution from design through testing and user adoption.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PeopleSoft FSCM, with emphasis on GL, KK, and AP modules
  • Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system design documents
  • Develop high-level conceptual designs, process flows, and application workflow diagrams
  • Evaluate business requests and conduct feasibility assessments aligned with organizational objectives
  • Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical/development teams
  • Support functional configuration and provide guidance on system enhancements
  • Create system test plans and detailed test scenarios
  • Execute system testing and coordinate/facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Ensure system functionality meets documented business requirements
  • Support change management efforts related to ERP implementation and adoption
  • Follow structured project management methodologies and ensure milestone adherence
  • Deliver required documentation, including Functional Specifications and Testing artifacts
  • Monitor and maintain quality, accuracy, and completeness of requirements and deliverables
Qualifications:
  • Strong functional expertise in PeopleSoft FSCM, with a focus on General Ledger (GL), Commitment Control (KK), and Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Proven experience providing functional support and configuration within PeopleSoft modules
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes within financial systems
  • Experience translating functional requirements into technical specifications and design documentation
  • Hands-on experience developing test plans, test scenarios, and supporting system and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Ability to assess feasibility of business requests and recommend effective solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business stakeholders and technical teams
  • Experience working within structured project management methodologies
  • Preferred: Experience with PeopleSoft Integration Broker, Workflow, and SQL
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet defined milestones and deliverables
  • CJIS eligibility/clearance required
