Job description

Elaine Ellis Center of Health is looking for a facility associate to join our team. A qualified candidate will have experience in environmental services in a healthcare setting and have reliable transportation. This position is responsible for overseeing and performing general environmental and facility activities, and overseeing the property to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary environment and ensuring that all equipment is in working order. Additionally, this position supports community outreach events.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform cleaning and disinfecting of all areas inside the Center.

· Perform proper cleaning and disinfecting of all equipment.

· Perform high and low dusting.

· Conduct floor maintenance including sweeping and mopping.

· Perform pickup and disposal of trash and hazardous waste.

· Maintain appropriate inventory and restock or request re-order of supplies as needed.

· Maintain a clean, safe and organized facility environmental storage area.

· Ensure accuracy of the Materials Safety Data Sheets when new products are purchased or current products are no longer used.

· Inspect and maintain safety features of the facility, including but not limited to, lighting, security doors and smoke detectors.

· Ensure safe passage in the parking lot, walkways, stairs and ramps.

· Interact with patients and visitors in a polite and professional manner.

· Actively participate in community outreach and offsite programs as assigned.

· Provide transportation and assist with set up and take down of mobile COVID testing units

· Ensure equipment for community events is maintained in good work order and is secure before, during and after events.

· Perform other duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
