ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

Broadbent & Associates, Inc. of Elko, NV is looking to hire an organized full-time Environmental Technician to support a wide variety of environmental projects. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

As an Environmental Technician your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, you provide support on a wide range of environmental and mine site projects including: collection of surface and groundwater samples, remediation system operation and maintenance, water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring, and water resources activities. Your primary job function will be to support the Elko, NV office with field services and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed. You will support office activities as needed to drive project execution.

People skills are essential as you interact regularly with contractors, owner representatives, and clientele. Though some time is spent in the Elko, NV office, preparing field sheets, project reports and completing routine administrative tasks, you are also responsible to conduct field activities such as seeps and spring monitoring, well sampling, and soil collection. Collected field data is summarized in reports and presented to Project Managers. Our mission is to complete work safely, on-time, and on budget which makes our clients happy and provides a great sense of accomplishment to our staff.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN

  • One year experience working in water/wastewater or environmental field is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to work consecutive long days in the field under varying adverse weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, and sometimes wet)
