As a Support Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform basic food preparation tasks.
  • Prepare, present and serve / deliver food and refreshments, ensuring awareness of special needs for modified diets
  • Plate and present food in an appealing manner and to a high-quality visual standard according to individual requirements
  • Assist the cleaning team with the facility, including patient rooms/ bathrooms / living areas/ dining areas and staff and public areas
  • Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in cleaning, and food and beverage handling/preparation in a Hospital or hotel setting
  • Food handling certificate or progression towards completion
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well independently and within a team
