The Team You’ll Join  

The DevOps team at Envestnet is a vibrant, cross-functional group dedicated to streamlining and automating the software delivery lifecycle. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where engineers work closely with development, security, SRE, and operations teams across various geographies, all united in optimizing the deployment of applications and infrastructure. The team is responsible for designing and implementing robust delivery pipelines, integrating quality, security, and compliance gates to ensure issues are identified and resolved early. They leverage modern tools like GitLab for automation, Terraform for AWS provisioning, and Helm for Kubernetes resource management. With a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and security, the DevOps team utilizes AWS EKS, ArgoCD, and Istio to build and maintain cutting-edge, reusable solutions. Their work is integral to quarterly audits and compliance processes, automating evidence collection for auditors and collaborating with security to seamlessly integrate vulnerability scans into CI/CD pipelines. By continually building tools to enhance efficiency and increase pipeline velocity, the DevOps team plays a crucial role in supporting Envestnet’s mission to redefine wealth management through innovative technology and industry-leading support.

How You’ll Contribute   

  • Provision users, roles, projects, and permissions; build tools and automation for GitLab.
  • Design and implement delivery pipelines for applications and infrastructure; integrate quality, security, and process gates to identify issues early.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform components for AWS.
  • Deploy and maintain applications in AWS EKS using ArgoCD and Istio; ensure scalability, reliability, and security; build reusable Kubernetes resources with Helm.
  • Collaborate with security and audit teams to integrate vulnerability scans and process checks into CI/CD pipelines; participate in quarterly audits and automate evidence collection for auditors.
  • Work closely with development, security, SRE, and operations teams across multiple geographies.
  • Build tools to enhance DevOps efficiency and increase pipeline velocity.
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested. 
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, you will understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk

What You’ll Need to Bring  

  • Bachelors degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency in Python, Shell Scripts, Terraform, Helm
  • Knowledge of HTTP protocols, REST APIs, and authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth)
  • Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD
  • Familiarity with GitLab, GitLab APIs, GitLab CI/CD

Nice-to-Haves  

  • Experience with Open Policy Agent, Rego, Microsoft Azure
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch
