Scherer Design Group, LLC (SDG) is a privately-owned consulting firm specializing in Telecommunications, EV charging and Utility infrastructure design solutions. Headquartered in Lebanon, NJ, SDG is licensed in multiple states and certified as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise.
 
Role Description
The ideal candidate is someone with telecom knowledge and/or land development experience and intuitive thinking skills. This is a full-time hybrid role with a minimum of three days in the Lebanon, NJ office. This role will be responsible supporting the design of new site builds. 
 

Responsibilities:
 
  • Design of telecom sites from conception to construction, including layout from scratch, antenna mount design & site plan approval
  • Development and review of construction drawings, specifications, and detailing for new and existing cell sites
  • Perform site inspections and condition assessments on existing sites and prepare reports
  • Support the training of Jr Engineers and CAD designers
  • Prepare sketches and perform drafting using AutoCAD
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with minimum 2 years’ experience, telecom experience preferred
  • If no degree, must have a minimum of 4 years telecom design experience
  • Land development experience required
  • Experience with developing drawings in AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of building envelope structural components
  • Knowledge of construction drawing standards
  • Ability to perform inspections of sites and other structures, both visually and with instruments
  • Ability to record data clearly and write passages for reports, letters, etc.
  • Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle
