The Project Engineer specializes in the planning, organization, and development of engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of facilities, such as roads, railroads, bridges, and water systems. This individual is responsible for planning and conducting work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. This individual is also responsible for devising new approaches to problems and preparing or modifying drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitoring work for compliance to applicable codes, and accepted engineering practices. This may include structural, traffic, and geotechnical engineers to name a few.
Part Time hours may be available for this position at management's discretion.

Requirements
  • KNOWLEDGE: Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations requires an evaluation of advanced theories, concepts and principles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation of criteria for obtaining results. Contacts pertain to significant matters often involving coordination among groups.
  • SUPERVISION: Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise engineer design and/or the activities of others.
  • EXPERIENCE: Typically requires 5-15 years of related experience. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, PE License required, and LEED certificate or ENV SP may be required.
