Job Summary: Maintenance Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for performing basic maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, facilities, and systems. This role works under close supervision and is focused on learning company procedures, safety standards, and maintenance best practices.

Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Complete basic repairs on machinery, tools, and building systems.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Support senior technicians with larger maintenance projects and equipment installations.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school training or maintenance certification (preferred).
  • 0–2 years of maintenance or related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read basic schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
