Job description

Are you someone who enjoys both the consultative nature of service and the chase of new business? Pyron Group is hiring a special Personal Risk Advisor for our Clinton office. It's a unique role that blends the relationship-driven responsibilities of a Personal Account Manager with the growth mindset of a Personal Risk Advisor.
In this position, you'll manage a smaller-than-average book of personal insurance clients while also having dedicated time and resources to pursue new business opportunities. We're looking for someone who's organized and client-focused but also motivated to build their own book-and earn commission on every new policy or client they bring in.
This role is ideal for someone with a collaborative spirit, a passion for helping people, and a desire to write their own growth story within a supportive, community-rooted agency.
What You'll Do
Account Management (40% of workload)
  • Serve as the primary service contact for your assigned book of personal lines clients.
  • Handle policy changes, billing questions, ID cards, and renewal strategy in collaboration with our internal team.
  • Ensure clients feel supported, heard, and informed throughout the life of their policies.

New Business Production (60% of workload)
  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through relationships, referrals, networking, and community involvement.
  • Conduct personal risk assessments to understand client exposures and tailor coverage recommendations.
  • Present proposals and onboard new clients with clarity, care, and confidence.
  • Receive new business and renewal commission on accounts you personally bring into the agency.

Ideal Candidate Traits
  • A blend of service-mindedness and entrepreneurial drive.
  • Comfortable managing policy details and documentation while also networking and closing new business.
  • Skilled communicator who builds trust quickly and maintains long-term client relationships.
  • Enjoys both the structure of a defined book and the flexibility to grow beyond it.

Qualifications
  • Mississippi Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Experience in personal insurance service or sales (either or both)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and follow-through skills
  • Tech savvy (experience with agency management systems)
  • Consultative, solution-based sales approach
  • Proficient in technology tools such as Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, or equivalent CRM systems
  • Experience with agency management systems (AMS360 a plus)
  • Ability to manage time independently and maintain an organized pipeline

Compensation & Benefits
This position hosts a unique compensation package offering the stability of a base salary combined with the uncapped earning potential of sales commissions.
  • Competitive base salary (reflective of service workload)
  • Plus Uncapped commissions on new and renewing self-produced business
  • Paid time off, holidays, and training resources
  • Opportunities for recognition, incentive trips, and career growth

Full Benefits Package
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • HSA and FSA with employer contributions
  • 401(k) with employer matching
  • Company-paid life and short-term disability
  • Optional long-term disability and supplemental life insurance
