Job description

About MEGA Goaltending

MEGA Goaltending is one of the nation’s premier goalie development programs and a division of the MAP / FHIT / MEGA Hockey family. For more than 15 years, we’ve trained goalies across all levels—from beginners to high-level high school, junior, college, and professional athletes.

We offer:
• State-of-the-art training facilities (on-ice + full off-ice gyms)
• A professional environment surrounded by specialists (goalie, skills, strength, admin)
• Career growth pathways (part-time → full-time → leadership)
• A strong development culture and long-term job stability

If you’re passionate about teaching, developing, and inspiring goaltenders — we want to meet you.

Position Summary

The Full-Time Goalie Coach is responsible for delivering elite on-ice and off-ice goalie training, building development plans, evaluating goalies, and providing ongoing in-season feedback including video IQ sessions. This role includes coaching, communication with families, and helping grow our goaltending community.

This is not a seasonal position — it's a long-term coaching career pathway within one of the most respected goalie development programs in the U.S.

What You’ll Do

On-Ice Coaching Responsibilities:
• Lead goalie training sessions for a wide range of ages and skill levels
• Create and execute structured practice plans tailored by age, skill, and season
• Demonstrate proper technique on the ice (must be able to skate and shoot effectively)
• Ensure consistent, high-quality technical instruction
• Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment
• Train and oversee part-time/seasonal support coaches

Off-Ice / Development Responsibilities:
• Build individualized goalie development plans
• Deliver video breakdowns and IQ sessions
• Evaluate goalies and provide expert performance feedback
• Track progress through the season
• Communicate professionally with parents, players, and association partners

Program Support Responsibilities:
• Assist with MAP/FHIT preview tournaments, clinics, and events
• Help grow the program by evaluating and recruiting new goalies
• Support association in-season goalie clinics
• Maintain facility cleanliness and safety standards

Minimum Requirements

To be considered, applicants must meet ALL core requirements:
• Played or coached at a High School, Junior, College, or Professional level
• Ability to demonstrate goalie movements on-ice, teach techniques, and shoot with accuracy
• Strong command presence on the ice (clear communication, ability to lead groups)
• Ability to motivate, inspire, and build relationships with goalies
• Basic technology skills (email, iPad, video analysis, Google Drive)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States (we have no visa sponsorship available)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous goalie coaching experience (private lessons, camps, associations, etc.)
• Strength & conditioning familiarity
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to provide a first-class athlete experience
• Experience with video review or game analysis

What We Offer

• $45,000–$55,000 starting annual salary + bonuses
• Health benefits + PTO
• Access to three elite training facilities
• Growth opportunities to senior coach or director roles
• Equipment discounts
• Supportive team environment with specialists in every discipline
• Long-term career path within a stable, industry-leading organization

Schedule

• Full-time (weekday + weekend coaching as needed)
• Year-round position
