Job description

Commercial Underwriting Associate

This entry-level position is part of the Commercial Underwriting team at one of Ally's five Regional Business Centers, which provide comprehensive, industry-leading service to Ally's automotive dealership customers. This opportunity serves as a foundational role for highly motivated individuals eager to learn about the fast-paced automotive industry and commercial credit.

The role begins with a comprehensive training program designed to introduce the fundamentals of the position and Ally's customer-focused approach to Commercial Auto Finance. Following training, the Associate Commercial Credit Analyst will interact with automotive dealership personnel and internal stakeholders to gather information and perform in-depth financial evaluations. These evaluations will form the basis for creating comprehensive account reviews, which will include recommendations on credit extensions to automotive dealerships (both existing and new relationships) to meet their business needs (such as inventory lines of credit, real estate and other commercial loans)

Along the way, the Associate Commercial Credit Analyst will receive ongoing developmental feedback, build relationships, and gain exposure to other functions. This includes exposure to local management and executive leadership to gain insight into strategic decision-making processes. Additionally, mentorship will be available to provide guidance and support from seasoned professionals committed to helping you succeed. Performance-based developmental rotation opportunities may also be encouraged, allowing you to experience various other key roles within Auto Finance, thereby broadening your expertise and career prospects

Minimum Qualifications
  • 0+ years of experience
  • High school Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous professional or internship experience preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of success through the articulation of quantitative and qualitative results.
  • Candidates should possess/display strong analytical, time management, written and oral communication, problem solving and collaboration skills.

Base Pay Range: $47840 - $75000 USD An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications.
