Job description

Fanuc Robot Programmer
Contract Assignment: 6–12 Months
Location: Texas
Start Date: Mid-July
Schedule: 6 Days Per Week

Seeking experienced Fanuc Robot Programmers for a 6–12 month contract assignment supporting a defense contractor in Texas. Candidates must be U.S. citizens with a clean record and must be available to start around mid-July. This role requires hands-on experience with Fanuc robotic programming, robot teaching, troubleshooting, program modifications, and production support in a manufacturing or defense-related environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, edit, and optimize Fanuc robot programs for automated production applications.
  • Perform robot teaching, touch-ups, path adjustments, and motion optimization.
  • Support setup, testing, debugging, and commissioning of Fanuc robotic systems.
  • Troubleshoot robot alarms, program issues, I/O problems, cycle interruptions, and equipment faults.
  • Work with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to support reliable automated operations.
  • Verify robot paths, positions, payload settings, tooling clearances, and safe operating zones.
  • Support end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, sensors, and peripheral equipment associated with robotic cells.
  • Follow all applicable safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, quality standards, and documentation practices.
  • Maintain accurate program notes, change records, and technical documentation as required.
  • Support a demanding production schedule requiring availability to work 6 days per week.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Fanuc Robot Programmer, Robotics Programmer, Automation Technician, or related robotic programming role.
  • Hands-on experience with Fanuc robotics, Fanuc teach pendant programming, robot path programming, and program troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of robotic motion, frames, positions, registers, I/O, alarms, and automated cell operation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot robotic systems, automation equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production issues.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, fabrication, welding, material handling, or other automated production environments preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional technical teams.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must have a clean record and be able to meet defense contractor background requirements.
  • Must be available for a 6–12 month contract assignment in Texas.
  • Must be available to start around mid-July.
  • Must be able to work 6 days per week.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Fanuc HandlingTool, ArcTool, SpotTool, or other Fanuc robot software packages.
  • Experience with robot integration, commissioning, recovery procedures, and production support.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, safety circuits, sensors, vision systems, or automated manufacturing cells.
  • Prior experience working in a defense contractor, aerospace, automotive, heavy manufacturing, or regulated production environment.
  • Experience with robotic welding, material handling, machine tending, assembly, sealing, dispensing, or inspection applications.
