As a Marketing Specialist, you will:

Shift: 10 hour shifts between 12:00pm - 10:00pm

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Assists and coordinates diverse marketing functions encompassing promotions and events, alongside the development of support materials including collateral, signage, and cross-promotional opportunities.
  • Supports the development, coordination, and execution of retail promotions, direct mail campaigns, and events targeting the retail audience.
  • Contributes to planning and executing VIP events, involving event preparation, effective communication with internal teams and external vendors, and successful implementation of promotional aspects. Adheres to appropriate attire, occasionally necessitating costumes based on event themes.
  • Collaborates to curate and execute unique experiences that exceed guest expectations.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and casino promotions to enhance the casino's competitive edge.
  • Assumes responsibility for promotion and event setup and organization tasks, ensuring completion of all tasks at least thirty minutes prior to the start of the promotion or event.
  • Manages promotional item inventory, ensuring accurate counts through regular audits.
  • Maintains organization of promotional files, checklists, and documents; ensuring prompt completion, documentation, and effective team communication.
  • Creates promotional rules and participates in the reviewal process for all scheduled promotions and events.
  • Utilizes various software to create and run electronic promotions and coordinates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance to standard operating procedures.
  • Analyzes and provides feedback to evaluate the effectiveness and success of promotions and special events.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of promotional kiosks and other promotional equipment including maintain appearance, restocking of materials, and coordination with IT for functionality assurance.
  • Prepares and disseminates monthly marketing overviews/documents and meets with various internal departments regularly to ensure understanding of scheduled promotions.
  • Exemplifies professionalism upholding the company's image and maintains appearance and behavioral standards.
  • Monitors and responds to guest feedback/inquiries and troubleshoots any issues or concerns raised while maintaining a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Supports the efforts and projects of the VP of Marketing, Director of Marketing, and/or Promotions & Events Manager as requested.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Associates degree (A.A.) in marketing, finance or related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) year of related experience required, preferably in Marketing.
  • Must be fluent and literate in English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc).
  • Effective communication skills with external agencies, vendors, customers, and employees across all levels.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a varied work schedule.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, and move around the property for the duration of shifts, with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to tolerate conditions including second-hand smoke, varying noise, temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
  • Collaboration aptitude, fostering teamwork within the department and with other divisions for successful property and corporate initiatives.
  • Compliance with all department, company, regulatory, and governmental requirements.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
