Boender & Payment, Attorneys, is looking for a Front Desk Office Assistant in downtown Eugene!

Boender & Payment, Attorneys, is a small law firm operating in downtown Eugene. We take cases throughout the state of Oregon and we practice criminal defense and family law as well as business, non-profit law, and estate planning. Our firm has three partners, three additional attorneys, three paralegals, one legal assistant, and an office manager. We are looking for another office assistant to help with our caseload and daily office and administrative duties (paralegal training not required).

The ideal candidate would have the following professional qualities and interpersonal skills:

  • experience working in a law firm or business office (1 year minimum required),
  • multi-line phone experience
  • confidence being the first person to interact with clients and visitors to the firm,
  • extreme organizational abilities,
  • technologically savvy,
  • multi-tasker,
  • keen attention to detail,
  • self-starter (there is never any downtime in the office, something always has to be done),
  • self-confidence and ability to help an office and the people in it be efficient,
  • interact professionally at all times with clients, colleagues, and co-workers,
  • efficiently summarize lengthy written material,
  • thrive in a fast-paced environment with heavy workloads,
  • calm under extreme pressure, work related stress, and deadlines,
  • open to constructive criticism, not defensive, and a good teachable attitude,
  • separate oneself emotionally from professional duties/cases,
  • ability to work with individuals charged with major felony crimes (including sex crimes and homicide), and
  • maintain sensitive and confidential information under all circumstances.

Position Details:

Compensation: (Hourly) $18/hour; Depending on experience

Hours: Monday though Friday 9am-5pm

Location: corner of 8th Avenue and Willamette

Misc: Must be able to show up to work consistently as scheduled
