Electrical Designer / Engineer

Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 (commensurate with experience and designation)
We are currently working with a building consulting engineering firm located in Toronto that is looking to add an Electrical Designer or Engineer to its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in the building consultancy / consulting engineering space who are looking to grow their technical and project exposure within a collaborative environment.
The Role:
Electrical system design for building projects (power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and auxiliary systems)
Preparation of drawings, layouts, and construction documents
Coordination with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams
Supporting projects from concept design through construction
Assisting with site reviews, field reports, and contract administration
Working closely with senior engineers, designers, and project managers
What you Bring:
Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
Experience working within a consulting engineering / building services environment
Strong understanding of electrical systems for buildings
Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit (experience level dependent)
Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and standards
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
