Entry Level Arc Flash Engineer Jobs in Toronto, ON

Description

This role is focused on supporting utility distribution planning and system analysis initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating electrical distribution networks, performing load and capacity studies, and providing recommendations that help utilities plan for future growth, reliability, and performance requirements. Strong experience with distribution system modeling and analysis software, particularly CYME, is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct distribution planning and engineering studies, including:- Load forecasting and demand analysis- Feeder loading and capacity assessments- Voltage regulation and voltage drop analysis- Thermal loading and equipment capacity reviews- Reliability, contingency, and system performance studies- Distributed Energy Resource (DER) impact assessments and hosting capacity evaluations- Develop, maintain, and analyze distribution system models using CYME.- Review historical loading data, customer growth patterns, and system performance metrics to support planning decisions.- Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and recommendations related to system upgrades, expansion projects, and network optimization.- Support capital planning activities by identifying system constraints and recommending solutions to address future capacity and reliability needs.- Work closely with utility stakeholders, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.- Ensure engineering studies and recommendations align with utility standards, planning criteria, and operational requirements.- Contribute to both short term and long term planning efforts for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.- Participate in client discussions, project meetings, and technical presentations as required.

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
