Job description

As a Sales Operations Analyst Intern, you'll do more than observe; you'll contribute to real projects that help our Sales organization make smarter, data-driven decisions.
You'll join a collaborative team that will help you get up to speed through hands-on training, coaching, and ongoing support. As you build your skills, you'll have opportunities to take ownership of meaningful work, analyze business challenges, share your ideas, and turn data into recommendations that can make a real impact.
You'll work alongside team members and business stakeholders to uncover sales trends, create reports, improve processes, and solve problems. Along the way, you'll gain practical experience in analytics, sales operations, technology, and project management while building skills you can carry into your future career.

What You'll Do and Impact:
  • Work on real business challenges. Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to provide insights into sales performance and make actionable recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Turn data into insights. Create and analyze reports that help the team understand performance and support strategic sales initiatives.
  • Learn from an experienced team. Receive training, coaching, and feedback to help you build your skills, understand the business, and become successful in your role.
  • Bring your ideas to the table. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to explore new requests, ask questions, and recommend effective data-driven solutions.
  • Make work better. Help manage and improve sales processes and systems, including our CRM, by using AI and technology to help the sales team work more effectively.
  • Build your communication skills. Share project outcomes, insights, and recommendations with your team, business stakeholders, and senior leaders.
  • Grow your ownership. As your skills and confidence develop, take on greater responsibility for projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Skills Needed:
  • Systems Thinking & Problem Solving - Identify the right problems to solve by understanding the broader system - customers, stakeholders, processes, data, technology, and AI. Connect root causes, dependencies, tradeoffs, and upstream and downstream effects to develop practical, scalable solutions that improve the whole.
  • Apply Judgment - Make sound decisions by evaluating data, context, assumptions, risk, and outcomes. Critically assess ideas and AI-generated outputs, consider interdependencies, voice a clear point of view, and own the results and impact.
  • Create & Shape Ideas - Generate, test, and develop new ideas into useful, high-quality solutions and experiences. Use creativity, curiosity, technology, and different perspectives to see around the corner, innovate and develop ideas into outcomes that create value and scale.
  • Influence & Collaborate - Build trust, communicate clearly, and work across boundaries to drive action and shared outcomes. Seek and integrate different perspectives, contribute ideas, work through dependencies, and help teams make progress together through change and ambiguity.
  • Learn & Adapt - Continuously grow and adapt as technology, customer needs, roles, and work systems evolve. Stay curious, learn beyond your core specialty, experiment with new approaches, use AI to accelerate learning, and improve through feedback and setbacks.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data mining and analysis, and comfort using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Experience:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Business, Mathematics, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to work part time (15-20 hours per week) during the school year and full time (40 hours) during the summer.

Additional Items of Interest:
  • GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  • Previous intern or business analytics experience.
  • Familiarity using Power BI and Databricks.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, or other programming languages.
