Job Description Software Engineer Location: Hybrid - Fort Wayne, Indiana Pay: Up to $135K Direct Hire Pinnacle Partners is assisting our client in their search for a Software Engineer to join their team in the Fort Wayne, IN area. This successful resource will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining core application logic. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, develop, and maintain core application logic using VB.NET Build and maintain WinForms desktop applications, including a kiosk client application Design and optimize SQL Server queries and data access patterns for high-performance, transactional systems, with a strong emphasis on query efficiency, indexing strategies, and minimizing latency Build and support web applications using C#/ASP.NET, including Web Forms, Web API, .NET MVC, and RESTful APIs Contribute to the modernization of existing kiosk applications with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Vue.js Actively contribute to Azure cloud migration planning and execution Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across the database, backend, and UI layers Work within and improve complex legacy systems while maintaining production stability Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and practices Support automated testing and CI/CD pipeline improvements REQUIREMENTS: 5-8 years of professional software development experience Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud architecture and development, including native Azure application development Ability to independently deliver solutions involving VB.NET, C#, and SQL Server with minimal oversight Strong experience with SQL Server, including query design and optimization, performance tuning, and efficient data access patterns Experience with Single Page Applications, .NET MVC, Web Forms, Windows Services, and WinForms application development Use of modern AI-assisted development tools PREFERRED SKILLS: Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Ability to debug complex issues across multiple layers TERMS: This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary up to $135 based on experience
