What is an entry level job?

Entry level jobs are positions designed for individuals who are new to the workforce or a particular industry. These roles typically require little to no prior professional experience and often provide on-the-job training. Entry level positions are ideal for recent graduates or those looking to change careers, as they offer opportunities to learn foundational skills, gain experience, and build a career path within a company or industry.

What are entry-level jobs?

Entry-level jobs are positions that do not require any previous experience in the role. Most entry-level jobs are aimed at high school or college graduates as a starting point for a future career goal. A college student may have majored in their ideal career field, but will still need to start in an entry-level position to train in a real-world environment. Some students move from internships into entry-level jobs, but most entry-level jobs do not expect a candidate to have any prior employment or on-site training.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level professional, and why are they important?

To thrive in an Entry Level position, you generally need a relevant educational background, basic industry knowledge, and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with common office software like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace and any role-specific tools is often expected. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities help you stand out and adapt quickly. These skills ensure you can contribute effectively, grow professionally, and take on increasing responsibilities within the organization.

What types of training and mentorship can I expect in an entry-level position?

In an entry-level role, employers typically offer structured onboarding programs, job shadowing opportunities, and access to experienced colleagues for ongoing support. Many companies assign a mentor or buddy to help new hires acclimate to the work environment and company culture. You can also expect periodic check-ins with your supervisor to discuss progress and address any challenges, along with opportunities to participate in workshops or training sessions to build foundational skills relevant to your department.

Job description

Entry Level Sales / Field Marketing Representative (Full-Time)
Entry-Level Sales Representative
Start in Sales. Prove Yourself. Build a Career.
Base Pay + Uncapped Performance Bonuses | Full-Time | Paid Training | Career Advancement

Pinnacle Home Improvements is one of the fastest-growing exterior home improvement companies in the Southeast, and we're looking for competitive, motivated, and ambitious individuals who want more than just another job.
This is an opportunity to break into sales, develop valuable communication skills, earn based on your performance, and create a path toward sales and leadership.
No sales experience? That's okay. We're not looking for the perfect resume; we're looking for people with drive, grit, coachability, and a strong work ethic.
We'll provide training, coaching, scripts, and proven systems. You bring the effort and willingness to improve.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base pay plus uncapped performance bonuses
  • Reps after successful training averaging $1,200+ per week
  • Top performers with the opportunity to earn $100,000+ annually
  • Paid, hands-on training
  • Daily coaching and ongoing professional development
  • Proven scripts and systems designed to help you succeed
  • Performance-based recognition and advancement
  • Clear opportunities to grow into sales and leadership roles
  • Competitive, team-oriented environment
  • Opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing company
What You'll Do - As an Entry-Level Sales Representative, you'll represent Pinnacle Home Improvements in local communities and introduce homeowners to our exterior remodeling services.
You'll:
  • Engage with homeowners through face-to-face residential outreach
  • Build rapport and identify potential home improvement needs
  • Educate homeowners about Pinnacle's roofing, windows, siding, gutters, and door services
  • Generate interest and schedule free consultations with our in-home sales team
  • Work toward individual and team performance goals
  • Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching, and team meetings
  • Professionally represent the Pinnacle brand in the communities we serve
Who We're Looking For
You may be a great fit if you're:
  • Competitive and motivated by goals
  • Comfortable talking to new people
  • Coachable and willing to improve
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection
  • Dependable and accountable
  • Positive, energetic, and team-oriented
  • Hungry for an opportunity to grow
  • Looking for a career, not just your next job
Previous sales experience is not required.
Experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, athletics, marketing, or other competitive environments can be helpful, but your attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn matter more to us than your resume.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to walk and work outdoors for extended periods
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Willingness to be coached and held accountable to performance expectations
Schedule: First Week โ€“ Paid Training: 11:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM
Regular Field Schedule: Includes 1โ€“2 weekly in-office meetings and training sessions.
  • Monday amp; Wednesday: 10:30 AM โ€“ 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday amp; Thursday: 11:00 AM โ€“ 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 10:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM
This role is for individuals who are ready to win.
This role requires you to get outside your comfort zone. You'll work in the field, talk to people you've never met, hear "no," and be challenged to improve. But if you're competitive, coachable, resilient, and willing to work, you'll have an opportunity to develop skills that can take you far beyond an entry-level position.
At Pinnacle, we believe performance should create opportunity.
Start in sales development. Learn how to generate business. Get coached by proven leaders. Perform at a high level. Earn your way into sales and leadership.
We're not looking for people who simply want to "try" sales.
We're looking for people who want an opportunity to prove what they're capable of.
If that sounds like you, we'd like to meet you.
Apply today and start advancing your career with Pinnacle Home Improvements.
