JOB SUMMARY

Entry level diagnostic radiologic technologist. Employees in this job function as Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer and are responsible for operating diagnostic x-ray and fluoroscopic equipment for assisting Radiologists and/or other physicians with diagnosing and/or treating disease and/or injury. This position is a professionally licensed and registered Allied Health care position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Diploma/certificate of completion from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Minimum Work Experience

  • No previous experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • General Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Texas Medical Board
  • Must obtain ARRT (RT) registry within one year of graduation of accredited program
  • Obtain BLS Healthcare CPR within 30 days of hire

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Must have basic knowledge of digital radiologic equipment
  • Must have basic understanding of PACS and RIS software
  • Must have basic ability to obtain diagnostic radiographs
  • Must be able to verbal communicate with patients and render basic patient care
