Experienced Landscapers – Seasonal Full-Time

Location: WMATA Facilities (Washington Metropolitan Area)
Season: March – November 30
Schedule Options:
• Sunday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• Tuesday – Saturday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

We are actively seeking experienced, professional landscapers to support our contract with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. This role is ideal for skilled individuals who take pride in high-quality landscape maintenance and understand the standards required for commercial and government properties.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for dependable professionals who can step onto a job site and contribute immediately.

Position Overview

As a Seasonal Landscaper, you will be responsible for maintaining high-visibility transit facilities and surrounding grounds. Work must be performed efficiently, safely, and to professional-grade standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform commercial landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and general groundskeeping
  • Safely operate landscaping equipment (zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.)
  • Maintain clean, professional job sites at all times
  • Follow safety protocols and equipment procedures
  • Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete scheduled assignments
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of professional landscaping experience (commercial preferred)
  • Proven experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
  • Must pass equipment proficiency testing
  • Must pass a comprehensive background check
