Job description

Forklift Operator

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM may also be available)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team. This position is responsible for operating a sit-down 3-wheel Crown forklift to safely load, unload, transport, and store products throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a sit-down 3-wheel Crown forklift throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments.
  • Handle plastic and glass packaging materials on standard 40" x 48" pallets weighing up to approximately 1,200 pounds.
  • Transport products throughout the distribution center and accurately place inventory into bulk floor locations or warehouse racking.
  • Scan, receive, move, and ship inventory using RF scanners and the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures while operating equipment.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
  • Experience operating 3-wheel Crown forklifts preferred.
  • Forklift certification or the ability to become certified.
  • Experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Ability to safely move pallets weighing up to approximately 1,200 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit and operate a forklift for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and move materials as needed.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to safely maneuver products throughout the warehouse.
