Locum Tenens Nurse practitioner Opportunity.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a Locums role to provide high-quality primary care for adult patients near Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will focus on chronic disease management, preventive care, and fostering strong patient relationships to promote overall wellness.
Nurse Practitioner Locum Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care services for adult patients, including comprehensive assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and other long-term conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, care teams, and support staff to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care planning.
  • Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and quality standards.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (MSN required).
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical practice preferred.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.
  • Valid, unrestricted license in the state of desired employment.
  • Current, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
  • Mandatory certification in American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) to be renewed annually. Certification must be presented during the initial screening process.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate electronic medical records effectively.
