Overview

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Software Engineer to join their growing team in San Francisco. This company is building the first finance automation platform tailored specifically for the insurance industry, combining AI and embedded fintech to modernize a $10T global market.

As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to core product development using Ruby on Rails and Next.js, while collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and directly with customers. This is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in a small, high-performing team, working on products that process billions of dollars annually and support thousands of insurance businesses.

Compensation

Base pay range: $160,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • First 30 Days: Learn the product and customer workflows by pairing with team members and engaging directly with users. Begin contributing to user-facing projects using Ruby on Rails and Next.js. Partner cross-functionally to design and build solutions to customer challenges.
  • First 60 Days: Take ownership of key product features that handle millions in transactions. Build intuitive, reliable UI components that support financial operations. Create internal tools to support customer success and streamline operations. Monitor product quality and iterate on technical improvements.
  • Ongoing: Develop scalable, customer-informed solutions that shape the future of financial automation in insurance. Contribute to building a best-in-class insurance checkout and point-of-sale system. Automate operational processes using AI, enhancing accuracy and efficiency. Support platform scalability through thoughtful architectural decisions and mentoring teammates.
