Entry-Level Maintenance Technician
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
Shift: 5:30 AM–2:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay: $18.00–$21.00/hour

Job Summary
We're looking for a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with basic mechanical aptitude, experience using hand tools, and an interest in learning machine maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Doing
As an Entry-Level Maintenance Technician, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Performing Basic Machine Maintenance: Assist with routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Troubleshooting Equipment Issues: Help identify and report mechanical problems while assisting experienced technicians with repairs.
  • Using Hand and Power Tools: Safely operate basic tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Conducting Preventive Maintenance: Assist with scheduled inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and equipment upkeep.
  • Maintaining a Safe Work Area: Follow safety procedures and keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
In addition, you will support the maintenance team with general repairs, equipment setup, and facility maintenance projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, maintenance, mechanical, automotive, construction, or related experience is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools required.
  • Ability to learn machine maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take direction.
  • Reliable attendance and positive attitude.
Skills
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of how machines and equipment operate.
  • Tool Knowledge: Comfortable using common hand and power tools safely.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and assist in finding solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow maintenance procedures and complete tasks accurately.
  • Teamwork: Works well with maintenance staff, operators, and supervisors.
  • Safety Awareness: Committed to following workplace safety standards and procedures.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work around machinery and manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to use tools and maintenance equipment for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
