Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Design tailored treatment plans that carefully target both short- and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to establish integrated care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Perform occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring consistent care throughout each client's comprehensive treatment experience.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in continuing education and collaboration with peers to remain up-to-date with advancements in the field.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be achieved within 30 days of employment.
