Assembly Technician | Department: Production | Reports to: Production Manager | FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Details

Location: 4100 S GRANT ST - WASHOUGAL, WA 98671

Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00 Hourly

Job Summary

The Assembly Technician is tasked with fabricating components and assemblies of moderate to high complexity. With guidance from Engineering and Production Management, the Assembly Technician will maintain a stock of raw materials and components, put together sub-assemblies (by hand, using hand tools and the hot press), and perform high-level inspection throughout the fabrication process. Fabrication requires delicate craftsmanship and some heavy lifting of tools/molds. Attention to detail (visual) and time management are key to your success at UPC. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing and some experience working with HAZMAT.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Must operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as calculators, copy machines, and printers.
  • Exposure to manufacturing and engineering machinery, including under workstations.
  • Frequently move raw and treated materials weighing up to 50 pounds across the manufacturing facility for various purposes, as needed.
Working Conditions

Work is generally performed in an office/warehouse environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule. No special coordination beyond those used for normal mobility, handling of everyday objects and materials, and using office equipment is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily.
