Job Title: Associate, Electrical Engineering - Sustainment

Job Description:

The Associate, Sustainment Electrical Engineer  will be involved in technical coordination for modification, maintenance, and repair of aircraft electrical systems, electro-mechanical systems, and including equipment installations. The engineer applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of electrical analysis for application to integrated system design, maintenance, and repair while maintaining awareness of program considerations. The liaison/sustainment engineering role includes support in the transition from engineering design to manufacturing, assembly, and aircraft installation of designed products as well as the application of principles supporting aircraft life cycle maintenance (repair, rework and designing replacement parts). Liaison/Sustainment engineers have the opportunity for work competency on a wide variety of tasks and aircraft systems on various aircraft platforms. 

 Essential Functions:

  •  Constant-Proactive Learning, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Overtime or off-shift work may be required to support program needs.
  • Must be able to walk to and from the flight line, work in aircraft hangar and manufacturing environment, board/exit aircraft, to include accessing and maneuvering in restricted/limited spaces such as aircraft wing and body fuel tanks, and walking on wings and fuselage (with appropriate safety gear)

Qualifications:

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology or in a STEM Discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or have completed their Bachelor's degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
