Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding career in veterinary medicine where no two days are the same? Wimberley Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. This unique position combines both front desk and clinical responsibilities, allowing you to play an important role in delivering exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients.
Our hospital is a diverse mixed-animal practice providing care for small animals, large animals, and exotic species. The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, organized, and excited to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule and Compensation:
  • Compensation: $14-$17 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This can be a full or part-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday. NO WEEKENDS!!

Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
  • Coordinate patient flow and support daily hospital operations
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care
  • Restrain animals safely and confidently
  • Assist with nursing care, treatments, and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:
  • 1+ years' experience as a veterinary assistant or client service, customer service representative
  • Experience with large animal and/or exotic animal patients is highly preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with veterinary software and medical terminology ideal
  • No prior experience required-entry-level candidates are welcome
  • Candidates with 1+ years' experience as a veterinary assistant and/or customer service representative may qualify for a higher starting wage within our range
