Job description

UX Strategist

The Opportunity:

Support Department of War missions by designing and shaping intuitive, data-driven experiences for our product web applicationimplementations.BlendUX strategy, user research, and hands-on interface designto ensure that warfighters, analysts, and civilian mission partners can navigate complex information and make timecritical decisions with clarity and confidence. Lead end-toendexperience strategy, including user research, journey mapping, and workflow analysis. Designhigh-qualityuser interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction models for operational webapplications. Translate complex mission needs into simple, intuitive digital experiences. Collaborate acrossproduct and engineeringteams to ensure that design decisions enhance operational readiness and align withcustomer goals.

You Have:

  • 3+years of experience withUX strategy, user research, UI/UX design,or product experience roles
  • Experience designingdata-heavy,mission-focusedweb applications
  • Knowledge ofFigma, Adobe XD, or Sketch
  • Knowledge ofinformation architecture, interaction design, and design systems
  • Knowledge of Section 508 or WCAG accessibilityand usability best practices
  • Ability to conduct user interviews, usability testing, and workflow studies with technical andnon-technicalusers
  • Ability to producewireframes, mockups, prototypes, and polished UI designs
  • Ability to translate complex mission or analytical concepts into intuitive user experiences
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working with Department of Warcustomers
  • Experience in Agile environments working closely withproduct managers and engineers
  • Experience with building or contributing toscalable design systems
  • Knowledge of operational, analytical, or planning workflows used within the Department of War
  • Knowledge of research synthesis methods such as journey mapping, persona development, and ecosystem mapping

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
