Job description

The Plex is your premier destination for family fun, event planning, sports, dining, parties, and more. Our 3 operating businesses (The Plex Athletic Club, Sports, and The Penalty Box Bar and Grill) offers 240,000 square feet of entertainment space under one roof where you will find everything you need for fun, fitness, family activities, food & beverage, parties, and social events. Open 7-days a week, our facility offers an arcade of games, bocce ball, bouncy houses, wall climbing, cornhole, darts, pizza, sushi, tapas, a vast beer wall and so much more.

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, This position is responsible for the oversight of all Lil’ Kickers programming. The Coordinator strives to provide a safe, fun, friendly, and structured environment for all participants and guests. This position is unique because Managers at The Plex are knowledgeable about ALL facility programming and scheduling and therefore need to be able to assist customers with any questions they have.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Create an enjoyable and welcoming experience for children and their families participating in the Lil’ Kickers program.
  • Greet customers and welcome children and their families as they arrive for class.
  • Coach classes, using the assigned curriculum, following weekly lesson plans
  • Create a bond with kids in your classes throughout the session
  • Adhere to safety guidelines
  • Set up, clean up, and maintain the field
  • Complete recommendation cards and customer care calls each session
  • Achieve a high rate of customer retention from season to season
  • Assist with marketing efforts, community events and other Plex events.
  • Complete, and attend, all Lil’ Kickers training as scheduled.
  • Work consistent shifts throughout each session.
  • Understand and be able to properly use the facility’s scheduling system.( ie DAY SMART)
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all Lil’ Kickers spaces and equipment. Report any repairs needed.
  • Perform other duties, special projects, and assignments as requested.
  • Follow safety and emergency plans and protocols while coaching.
  • Provide first aid and respond to emergencies when needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Customer Service Obsession with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Coaching or teaching skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with children

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Entry level up to one year’s related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of running/walking.
  • Stand, Bend, reach overhead, and lift up to 40 lbs. waist high
