Job description

Job Description Hill Street community center is looking for an enthusiastic dance instructor who loves children. We are a smaller site located right off the Beltline and Capital Blvd. Instructors will need to create and utilize lesson plans that teach children ballet and tap to children 2-5 years of age and ballet, tap and jazz to children 6-8 years of age.

They will need to facilitate various fun activities associated with dance and the instructor should be able to adapt/revise program activities to meet the needs of program participants. Duties and Responsibilities Teach the foundations of dance and basic motor skills. Communicate and work well with children, teaching youth the basics of dance.

Available to class participants/parents before/after class for follow-up on instruction presented during class. Set-up dance room to be consistent with lesson plans Evaluate each dance class upon completion to determine action necessary to improve upon each program Good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with both children and adults. Typical Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or GED is the standard entry-level requirement.
