Do welders need an entry level TWIC card?

Entry level welders working in maritime or transportation-related environments often need a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card to access secure areas. While not all welding jobs require a TWIC, many positions in these sectors do, especially those involving port or terminal work, and obtaining the card involves background checks and security clearance. Having a TWIC can improve job prospects in industries that prioritize security credentials for welders and other workers.
