THE JOB
Tidewater Environmental Services, Inc. is hiring a Class A CDL Operator to join our team in Kent, WA! In this role, you'll support the Pacific Northwest's industrial and marine communities by safely transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials to customer locations. Responsibilities include loading, unloading, and operating a variety of specialized equipment, including tractor-trailer combinations, roll-off trucks (straight truck and trailer), street sweepers, and wet/dry vacuum trucks (tankers and guzzlers).
This position will:
  • Maintain a teamwork mentality and work effectively with others.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with employees and customers via cell phone and face-to-face interactions.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Safely load and unload equipment, materials, and vacuum hoses.
  • Ensure the successful, safe, and timely transportation and delivery of products.
  • Operate commercial vehicles and specialized equipment in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Follow safe work practices, maintain regular attendance, and participate in on-call assignments as required.

THE BENEFITS & PAY
  • Position Wage Range is dependent on experience and qualifications:

o Entry Level (less than one year experience): $33.19/ hour with an increase after 1040 hours worked
o 1 Year of Experience: $37.16/ hour
o Up to an additional $3.50 / hourly, based on endorsements and on-the-job experience.
  • Overtime paid for all weekend work and any work beyond eight hours per day/40 hours per week

THE CATCH
  • A valid Class A driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsements.
  • Be available to work a flexible schedule with up to 14 hour days, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to travel to job sites that include out-of-town work as required.
  • Must meet and maintain DOT medical clearance criteria and ability to wear a respirator (no facial hair).
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) required for job site location (i.e. earplugs, protective eyewear, goggles, life vest, face shield, crush-resistant footwear and hard hat).
  • Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC Card in accordance with Department of Homeland Security and TSA guidelines within 15 days of hire date.
  • All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a pre-employment physical, DOT drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
