Job description

We are looking for an entry-level Financial Analyst to support a non-profit organization in Los Angeles, California through a Long-term Contract assignment. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, interpreting financial data, and contributing insights that help guide responsible decision-making. The role offers hands-on exposure to reporting, market research, and analytical tools in a mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
• Examine financial data sets to identify patterns, variances, and trends that support planning and budgeting decisions
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports that present financial results in a clear and organized manner for internal stakeholders
• Assist with market research by reviewing relevant financial activity, economic indicators, and sector developments
• Use Bloomberg Terminal and related resources to gather data, validate information, and support analysis requests
• Maintain accurate records and spreadsheets to ensure consistency across reports, forecasts, and supporting documentation
• Partner with team members to summarize findings and translate complex financial information into practical insights
• Help improve reporting accuracy by reviewing source data, checking calculations, and resolving discrepancies when they arise• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
• Foundational knowledge of financial analysis principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance review
• Ability to work with large data sets and turn findings into concise, meaningful summaries
• Familiarity with financial markets and common market data sources
• Experience using Bloomberg Terminal or the ability to learn it quickly in a work setting
• Proficiency in spreadsheet-based analysis and financial reporting tasks
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication abilities
