Check out ( https://www.isa-arbor.com/) for details on getting your ISA Groundsperson and ISA Tree Climber certifications. These may be required in the future before advancing to the next level.
5) You must have reliable transportation to the job site, which cannot be reached by public transportation, Uber, or bike. We work from Napa to Monterey and Sacramento to the Bay. This position is based in Hayward, CA.
6) A current and "clean" CA Driver's license is required. *Clean = no points or recent tickets. Once you become a Climber, you will be given a company truck to drive to the job site so it is required that your do NOT have speeding tickets or accidents on your record.
7) You absolutely MUST live within a 40 minute commute of Hayward, CA. BEST if you live i the South Bay. Please calculate your morning commute using Google maps with an arrival time of 7:00 a.m. If you live outside this area and DO NOT plan to move, please do not apply.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • $20.00 to $22.00 per hour to start, depending on fit to the role. NOTE: If you have experience doing Grounds-person work, Landscaping work or anything similar, please let us know. More pay may be available to applicants with tree care experience!!!
  • Free gear including company sweatshirts, t-shirts, and safety equipment.
  • After 90 days of employment, full-time employees are eligible for:
    • Medical, dental, and optical insurance at a 50% contribution rate from the company
    • 5 paid sick days
    • 5 paid holidays
    • 401(k) participation
