Job description

Job Store Staffing is hiring immediately for a Welder to join a growing manufacturing team for one of our teams in the Louisville area. This is a great opportunity for someone that just graduated from school or entry level candidates with welding skills.

What you will be doing:
  • Weld thin-gauge CRS, stainless steel, and aluminum cabinets to print specifications.
  • Position, align, fit, and weld parts using slot-and-tab construction.
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding according to specifications.
  • Inspect work using squares, rulers, and measuring tape to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Provide first articles to Quality Assurance for inspection.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.
  • Complete welding equipment maintenance logs as required.
  • Record work order start and stop times using data collection devices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a welding shop environment or demonstrated proficiency in basic welding procedures.
  • Moderate welding skills with the ability to meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
  • Ability to weld thin-gauge materials, including CRS, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand welding symbols.
  • Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work independently and follow specifications.
  • Must be able to stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working around elevated noise levels and seasonal temperature changes.

You should be proficient in:

  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
