Job Title: Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist)
Location: Detroit, MI
Shift: Evening
Schedule: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Mon–Fri) OR 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM (Every other weekend)
Weekly Hours: 40
Duration: 16 Weeks

Job Description: Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiologic procedures for the evaluation of pathological conditions as ordered by a physician. Responsible for patient preparation, imaging procedures, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with departmental protocols.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Prepare and position patients for radiologic examinations
  • Review clinical data and obtain relevant patient history
  • Perform radiographic imaging using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Administer contrast media and monitor patients for reactions when required
  • Ensure radiation safety using ALARA principles
  • Maintain and prepare procedure rooms and necessary supplies
  • Operate imaging systems and ensure high-quality image production
  • Manage PACS and RIS documentation including image indexing and records
  • Follow infection control and patient safety protocols
  • Assist in training new staff and students as needed

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • ARRT certification in Radiography (or registry eligible with completion within 6 months)
  • BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification
  • Prior OR experience required (Ortho, Neuro, Vascular preferred)
  • Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures and safety practices
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
